The Bayens Method
A structured HYROX training program for athletes who want to manage their own training without having to build the entire plan themselves.
Every session is delivered through FITR with clear intensity targets, heart rate guidance and purposeful weekly progression.
Follow the structure. Execute with intent. Track what matters. Build fitness you can repeat.
Results Across HYROX Competition
The athletes below represent the performance standard and training principles behind The Bayens Method. Some athletes may have used these principles through different coaching arrangements. The $25 per week subscription offered on this page is the self coached version delivered through FITR.
Coach Yourself With a Better System
Self coached training should not mean random sessions, unmanaged intensity or trying to piece together a program from social media.
The Bayens Method gives you the weekly structure, session targets and progression you need to make informed training decisions. You remain responsible for completing the work, monitoring your recovery and following the prescribed intensity.

More Effort Is Not Always Better Training
HYROX performance requires strength, endurance, running capacity and the ability to execute movements while fatigued.
Training hard every day can make it difficult to absorb the work, repeat quality sessions and progress consistently. The Bayens Method uses clear intensity guidance to help you understand the purpose of each session.
Easy Work Stays Controlled
Recovery sessions are held at the intended low intensity so they actually aid recovery.
Hard Sessions Have Purpose
Quality efforts are placed deliberately, with a specific training outcome in mind.
Recovery Supports Output
Managed intensity protects your ability to repeat the next quality effort.
Consistency Builds Fitness
Weeks you can repeat and progress are what create lasting performance gains.

Daily Sessions Through FITR
Daily Sessions
Every session is delivered through FITR with the structure and information you need to complete it independently.
Heart Rate Zone Guidance
Intensity targets help you understand the intended effort and avoid turning controlled sessions into unnecessary maximum efforts.
HYROX Conditioning
Develop the strength endurance, compromised running and conditioning required for HYROX performance.
Aerobic Engine Development
Build the capacity to maintain useful output across the complete duration of a HYROX race.
Strength Endurance
Develop the ability to produce force repeatedly across sleds, carries, lunges, wall balls and supporting strength work.
Pacing and Execution
Learn how to control your effort so you can make better decisions across runs, stations and transitions.
Weekly Progression
Sessions form part of a wider training structure rather than operating as isolated workouts.
Performance Tracking
Log key information inside FITR and monitor how your training develops from week to week.
Give Every Session the Right Effort
Heart rate information can provide useful context when managing training intensity. The Bayens Method uses heart rate zones and execution guidance to help you recognise when to control your output and when a harder effort is appropriate.
A compatible heart rate monitor can improve the accuracy of this process, but it is not included with the subscription.
The goal is not to become controlled by data. The goal is to use relevant information to make more consistent training decisions.

Created by Chris Bayens
Chris Bayens is the Head HYROX Coach at Shredded Health and Performance and the creator of The Bayens Method.
With more than 16 years in strength and conditioning and over a decade working with athletes across multiple sports, Chris has developed a system focused on structured progression, appropriate intensity and race relevant execution. The subscription turns those principles into a training framework that independent athletes can follow through FITR.
- You receive the system.
- You complete the sessions.
- You track the work.
- You take responsibility for the execution.
Since the transition to FITR, every session is clearly laid out, including which zones I need to train in based on Morpheus and HRV guidance. Simple and effective.
