FAQ

Common Questions

How much does personal training cost?
Sessions run from $60 to $180, depending on your coach’s experience and education. We’ll help you find the most suitable coach for your budget and goals.
How long is each session?
Each one-to-one personal training session runs for 45 minutes.
Do I need to be a Shredded member?
[PLACEHOLDER — confirm whether casual PT is available without a membership, and whether casual sessions include gym floor entry.]
Is personal training suitable for beginners?
Yes. Your coach meets you at your current level and builds your plan from there, whatever your experience.
How often should I train with a PT?
It depends on your goal and budget. Many members combine 1, 2 PT sessions per week with independent training on their program.
Can you help me choose a coach?
Yes. Tell us your goals, experience, availability and preferred coaching style, and we’ll match you with the most suitable coach.
Is a consultation required before starting?
Not always. For a straightforward starting point, a personal training session is enough. If you need a complete training and nutrition strategy, we’ll recommend a fitness consultation instead.
Does personal training include a program?
Your coach will build and adjust your training around your goal. Ask your coach which pathway includes a written take-home program.
Is nutrition support included?
It depends on your starting pathway. Some coaching pathways include nutrition guidance; others focus purely on training. We’ll confirm what’s included when we discuss your goals.
What is Coach on Duty?
A qualified coach is available on the gym floor during selected member hours to assist with technique and questions while you follow your own program.
Can I train around an injury?
Your coach can adapt training around many common limitations. For pain, injury or clinical rehabilitation, we’ll recommend a consultation or the appropriate allied-health referral first.
What should I bring to my first session?
Comfortable training clothes, footwear and a water bottle. Your coach will let you know if anything else is useful.
